CLIENT REVIEW: "It's certainly a great tour for anyone who wants to see different aspects of Jamaica in a short amount of time. Wonderful blend of travelers from different countries and with travel experiences. Tish was a phenomenal guide and I couldn't imagine a better person taking us around the island. She is a wealth of information and truly loves sharing her home with new friends 🙂. All the best for the tour company, and I certainly hope to return again and explore even more of JA!"

Full Itinerary

We meet at the departure Hotel at 8:00am for orientation and depart at 8:30am for Ocho Rios with a stop in Montego Bay for our first activity – a guided tour of the stunning Rose Hall Great House which will take you back to Jamaica’s Colonial past. Beware for Anne Palmer the White Witch of Rose Hall who is said to still haunt the Great House. Leaving Montego Bay we travel to the breath-taking Dunn’s River Falls, which is Jamaica’s most spectacular waterfall cascading over 600 feet down to the Caribbean Sea. Climbing the waterfalls with your Dunn’s River guide is a once-in-a-life-time experience that’s truly special and unforgettable!  After you’ve experienced and conquered Dunn’s River Falls, other options in Ocho Rios you may want to explore are: Blue Hole, Dolphin Cove, Bamboo Rafting, River Tubing, Fern Gully and more. Tonight we’ll be staying at Hibiscus Lodge Hotel or similar Hotel

Leaving Ocho Rios we travel to Portland. Portland is said to be the most beautiful place in Jamaica. Its allure lies in its exotic charm, lush greenery, frequent rainfall that sustains its verdant landscapes, vibrant array of colourful flowers, and abundant birdlife. Cool, crystal-clear rivers meander through the terrain, leading to breath-taking waterfalls that cascade in secluded spots. The coastline boasts stunning beaches, while the majestic Blue Mountains provide a captivating backdrop that’s ever-present, adding to the area’s natural splendourPortland is also romantic, understated, laid back, rural, not touristy and the home of Jerk Cuisine! Our Jamaica Discovery included activity today is the Charles Town Maroon Village experience: this is a journey into history, hear the story of the Maroons – runaway slaves who fought against the British during the 17th to 19th centuries. Learn how to blow the Abeng and join in the rhythm of dance, song, and drumming with the vibrant community members. Following this lively celebration, indulge in a traditional Maroon lunch, followed by leisure time or a refreshing swim in the nearby river that meanders alongside the settlement. In the early afternoon, we bid farewell to Charles Town and journey to our hotel in Port Antonio. For those interested, there’s an optional stop to experience the serene adventure of bamboo rafting on the Rio Grande River—a picturesque and idyllic escapade amidst nature’s beauty. Our accommodations in Portland await at Bayview Eco Resorts or a similar Hotel.

Today we offer the two Jamaica Discovery included activities – visits to the Blue Lagoon and Frenchman’s Cove. The Blue Lagoon was made famous by the movie of the same name – this is an azure abyss cocooned by lush green foliage and is reputed to be bottomless. Take a swim in the Lagoon and “the fountain of youth”.  Or experience the Lagoon by an optional kayak and paddle pass the luxurious Villas of San-San and over to Monkey Island with its tiny Beach. Be on the lookout for stingrays and turtles! Leaving the Blue Lagoon we go to Frenchman’s Cove, another of Jamaica’s iconic beaches where an underground river emerges and flows into the Caribbean Sea. The river and the sea only separated by rope swings hanging from the branches of an almond tree. Everyone dreams of Frenchman’s Cove!  At day’s end we leave Portland and head back to Negril. However, if you want to stay longer in Portland or if you are staying elsewhere in Jamaica we’ll assist you accordingly.
