CLIENT REVIEW: "It's certainly a great tour for anyone who wants to see different aspects of Jamaica in a short amount of time. Wonderful blend of travelers from different countries and with travel experiences. Tish was a phenomenal guide and I couldn't imagine a better person taking us around the island. She is a wealth of information and truly loves sharing her home with new friends 🙂. All the best for the tour company, and I certainly hope to return again and explore even more of JA!"

We meet at the departure Hotel at 8:30am for orientation and depart at 9:00am traveling into St Elizabeth’s beautiful countryside for a taste of the past and present at the Appleton Estate Rum Tour – a Rum experience designed to “lift your spirits”. Appleton Estate first distilled rum in 1749. See sugar cane become magically transformed to molasses, then sugar, and finally into Jamaica’s Premium Rums. Sample blends for age, taste and strength, then pick up a bottle (or two) to take home. Following Appleton, we continue our journey to Treasure Beach, with a delightful stop in Middle Quarters, famous for its delectable peppered shrimp—a quintessential Jamaican street food experience for lunch. Alternatively, you can opt to savour the local fast-food favourite, the patty, available with an array of mouth-watering fillings. Tonight, we stay at the charming Lashings Boutique Hotel in Treasure Beach – a laid back fishing village which is off-the-beaten-path. It’s a mellow slow-paced atmosphere that will seamlessly claim you as a Local. A great option this evening is to make your own dinner at a Jamaican Cooking Class.

Today you’ll experience Jamaica Discovery’s most popular activity—a captivating journey featuring Dolphin Quest, Black River Safari and Pelican Bar. This is a thrilling boat excursion as we embark on a quest to encounter dolphins and crocodiles in their natural habitat. Our adventure culminates at the iconic Pelican Bar, where you can unwind and soak in the laid-back atmosphere after a day filled with incredible wildlife encounters. Boat launches from the shores of Treasure Beach and if we are lucky we will see the Treasure Beach Dolphins on their morning swim. We journey to where the Caribbean Sea meets the Black River and cruise upstream to see the Jamaican crocodile and birds native to the Black River and the Great Morass. You will experience how the locals use the river for their livelihood – fishing and shrimping. Once upstream we stop at the Jamaica Discovery spot where you can have a swim in the rejuvenating waters of the Black River. Leaving Black River our next destination is Pelican Bar. PELICAN BAR: imagine a mass of driftwood constructed to create a basic structure, covered by a palm leaf thatch roof and supported by stilts, sitting on a sandbar in the middle of the Sea. This quaint island-in-the-sea lounge is like nothing you’ve ever seen. At Pelican Bar, have a drink, swim, sunbathe or just chill and soak up the lazy sun-drenched vibe. By mid-afternoon we’ll be back on our bus and making our way to Kingston Jamaica, where we will check-in at Hotel Four Seasons or similar and with a little more energy, you may explore Kingston’s famous nightlife, with lots of reggae, dancehall music and good vibes!

Wake up in Kingston, the heartbeat of Jamaica! Kingston is where Jamaica’s culture is most dynamic and there’s never a dull moment. However, for today’s first Jamaica Discovery included activity we will leave the city behind and venture into the famous coffee-producing Blue Mountains for a coffee experience like no other. The lush hills, fresh air, spectacular views and the “best coffee in the World” will make you want to stay. However, we have to depart for the second Jamaica Discovery included activity, which is a visit to the Bob Marley Museum, situated at his former residence, where you will be immersed in Marley’s extraordinary and inspirational life of “One Love, let’s get together and feel alright”!  At day’s end we leave Kingston and head back to Negril. However, if you want to stay longer in Kingston or if you are staying elsewhere in Jamaica we’ll assist you accordingly.
