CLIENT REVIEW: "It's certainly a great tour for anyone who wants to see different aspects of Jamaica in a short amount of time. Wonderful blend of travelers from different countries and with travel experiences. Tish was a phenomenal guide and I couldn't imagine a better person taking us around the island. She is a wealth of information and truly loves sharing her home with new friends 🙂. All the best for the tour company, and I certainly hope to return again and explore even more of JA!"

Full Itinerary

We meet at the departure Hotel at 9:15am for orientation and depart at 10:00am for Ocho Rios. Our first Jamaica Discovery included activity today is the Charles Town Maroon Village experience: this is a journey into history, hear the story of the Maroons – runaway slaves who fought against the British during the 17th to 19th centuries. Learn how to blow the Abeng and join in the rhythm of dance, song, and drumming with the vibrant community members. Following this lively celebration, indulge in a traditional Maroon lunch, followed by leisure time or a refreshing swim in the nearby river that meanders alongside the settlement. We leave the Charles Town in the early afternoon and travel to Ocho Rios for your next Jamaica Discovery included activity: a visit to the breath-taking Dunn’s River Falls, which is Jamaica’s most spectacular waterfall cascading over 600 feet into the waiting arms of the Caribbean Sea. Climbing the waterfalls with your Dunn’s River guide is an once-in-a-lifetime joy that’s truly special and unforgettable! After you’ve experienced and conquered Dunn’s River Falls we will check-in at Hibiscus Lodge Hotel or similar Hotel.

Today we travel to Negril via Montego Bay for the included guided tour of the stunning Rose Hall Great House which will take you back to Jamaica’s Colonial past. Beware for Anne Palmer the White Witch of Rose Hall who is said to still haunt the Great House!  By midday your toes should be in the sand at Doctor’s Cave Beach – one of Jamaica’s iconic beaches located on the Montego Bay Hip-strip. After Doctor’s Cave Beach we travel to Negril, arriving in time to watch the incomparable Negril sunset from the iconic Rick’s Cafe – famous for its picturesque views and the thrill of cliff diving. Tonight we stay at Merrils Resort or similar Hotel.

Take a leisurely stroll along the sandy expanse, embark on a captivating glass-bottom boat trip, or immerse yourself in the vibrant underwater world with snorkelling or scuba diving adventures. For those seeking an adrenaline rush, indulge in parasailing or explore the majestic cliffs and indulge in rock diving. Alternatively, you may opt for a beach massage or simply unwind and embrace relaxation in a hammock, soaking in the tranquil ambiance. At day’s end we leave Negril and head back to Portland.
